TED Talk Challenge
In 2011 I issued what I’ve called the ‘TED Talk Challenge’. Over the years I’ve found that watching what most people call ‘news’ was uninteresting, shallow and worst of all depressing. After watching TED Talks in university I believe it’s the perfect antidote.
With that in mind I took the advice of one of the speakers in a TED Talk and challenged myself and my readers to watch a TED Talk a day for a month. Hopefully those that did, not only feel better about the world we live in, but are far better educated as a result.
For those that missed the challenge, don’t worry. I’ll be keeping this page with a list of 31 TED Talks up indefinitely, so others can take the same journey I did.
There are literally hundreds (probably thousands) of TED Talks available, so if you intend to take up the challenge, or just want a dose of science don’t feel limited to these 31. My tastes may be different to yours and you might find a completely different list appeals to you more.
The TED Talk website can be found here.
Whoopse, missnumbered one. Kind of ironic it was the ‘Shared experience of absurdity’ video.
