TED Talk Challenge #20: Teaches kids to take charge

If you haven’t already figured out I’m pretty big on education. And not just ordinary education (although it’s a good place to start) but something a little unique. One part of this new type of education is the realisation that kids need to learn from the whole community, not just the schools. And in turn the children need to teach as a way of solidifying that new knowledge and as a way of giving back to the community.
That’s why I really love this next video by Kiran Bir Sethi. She and her colleagues (and let’s not forget the children) have taken these concepts and are living them on a massive scale. The idea is to infect all of India with this type of thinking and change the way people think; not just the children, but the community at large.
