TED Talk Challenge #18: What separates us from the apes?

Had enough of apes yet? I hope not, because Jane Goodall has been living with Chimpanzees and has quite a bit to share about them. This video is quite a bit longer than the last TED Talk, but if nothing else you need to stick around long enough to learn how to say hello in Chimp-anese.

But honestly, this talk is definitely not all about Chimps. Jane takes us on quite a journey. One that she hopes will encourage people to take better care of this planet for all species.

There’s plenty of good stuff Jane says in this talk, but this is one of my favourite quotes, attributed to Mahatma Gandhi”

“If you look back through human history, you see that every evil regime has been overcome by good”.

If there was every encouragement not to give up hope, it’s in that quote.
