TED Talk Challenge #14: Philosophy in prison

Damon Horowitz manages to pack at least 10 minutes speaking into 3.5 minutes of awesomeness. Although very short, I feel this talk nails what it is to engage in philosophy and critical thinking. Hopefully we all have our heads reasonably wrapped around these ideas, but it never hurts to go over the basics again. What I love about this talk is that Damon highlights a fundamental fact about philosophy; what matters is the ideas, not the individuals presenting them. Philosophy brings all people onto the same playing field and pits their intellect against other’s ideas. It is a great equalizer.
